I absolutely love giving—and let’s be honest, receiving—books as gifts. There’s something so timeless and personal about a book, especially a gorgeous coffee table book. My collection? Let’s just say it’s extensive. Some might call it excessive, but I prefer to think of it as well-curated. I like to switch them around the house, letting the vibe of each room evolve with a fresh stack of pages. Assouline and Taschen have published many of my favorites over the years and have something on just about every subject, and some on this list, but here are a few that you might not have thought of.
One day (a girl can dream), I’ll have an entire evening to myself. Picture this: no interruptions, a perfectly aged bottle of red wine, and me, flipping through my favorite coffee table books, savoring the art, inspiration, and stories they hold. Until then, I’ll keep adding to the collection—and I’ve put together a guide so you can, too. Whether you're shopping for a holiday gift or treating yourself, these coffee table books are perfect for adding a touch of style and substance to any space.
Cheers to that fantasy evening—may it come for all of us!

The ultimate gift for the ultimate sneakerhead! This book, unlike others, is not about just one brand or designer but the history, evolution, and examples of the greatest sneakers of all time.
A person would be hard-pressed to find anyone cooler than Alicia Keys. Not only is she an insanely talented musician, but she and her husband, Swiss Beatz are major art collectors. This book showcases a portion of their vast collection currently exhibited at the Brooklyn Museum of Art.

I bought this book for my husband, a true Hip Hop fan, for Father’s Day this year and I love it as much as he does. It is the perfect gift for anyone who loves jewelry, Hip Hop, or both!
Boys and their balls, everyman I know loves at least one sport that involves a ball and Sports Illustrated has a series of books titled The Story Of… I picked this one because my husband is a basketball fan but you can find other sports from the same series.
The words Paris and style are synonymous and Alois Guinut has nailed it with this book. The glossy pages are full of photos that will delight any fashion lover.
